Patch 2.0 - Guild Changes

Guild Updates: Patch 2.0: Rise of Damnation Overview - Live August 9 2011th

Patch 2.0 Changes (Updates): August 7th, August 9th,August 10th (Part One, Two)

General

§  Dailies Quests: Hyjal & The Molten Front

o    All members should at least be at the second vendor unlocked on their main character if not both of them unlocked by now. If not make sure to have them unlock and work on them please.

o    Just a recap 150 Mark of the World Tree x 2 to unlock BOTH Wardens and Druids. Followed by 125 MotWT x 3 to unlock the 3 vendors in total.

§  Legendary Item: Dragonwrath Tarecgosa’s Rest

o    The weapon will be awarded and is still in discussion with the officers to know who will get it eventually. Keep in mind this is a guild effort and not only rely on one person. And it would be great to have one member with a Legendary items collected during the time being of the expansion and not after. So stay tuned on the forums for upcoming updates about it.

§  User Interface: Dungeon Journal

o    Don’t forget about this useful feature Blizzard implanted in the game. It’s accessible via a new button in the Navigation tray on your Micro-Menu bar. Gives you details about bosses abilities and loot that drops in both versions 10/25 (N & H) as far as raiding goes so as for 5 Man (N & H). It will be really helpful for some of you that are not visual too much to actually read and understand some of the boss’s abilities and whatsoever.

Guild & Achievements

§  Guild Achievements

o    Guild achievement will be planned on the schedule. So make sure to either read the Guild Message of the Day (GMotD). Either it could be Guild achievement for Professions or even for just dungeons. Even raid encounters comes in line either T11 encounters for Glory of the Cataclysm Raider. Or even some from Wrath of the Lich King. They will be mostly run either on Sunday (Afternoon or Evening) or Mondays night depending.

§  Guild Calendar and Forums

o    I want EVERY single member to sign up on the forums and check the news and updates on a daily basis. We will start posting the Raid schedule and if you are NOT registered nor signed up for it, it will be a NO-GO for you. I’m sorry but the website is getting paid and we need to use it to our advantage. And it can avoid a lot of confusion amongst what is going on and happening.

o    We will be starting to use guild calendar as well to create events for the week so make sure to sign up as well. It’s not too much to ask. The events will be put in either by the GM/Co-GM or the Officers starting Sunday or Monday for the upcoming week. Make sure to register to those if you want to be part of it.

§  Guild Bank Tabs & Ranking

o    As you might notice ranking changed a little bit. Raiders that have been with us for more than 6 months and have dedicated in wiping over and over gain and getting new kills and have been there on time and prepared for raid and been loyal will actually have the rank of ‘’Veteran’’ which gives them more access than normal ‘’Core Members’’ in term of guild repair per day, amount of stack that they can withdraw from guild. They can also invite members to the guild. This feature will be used on alts characters only. The application process will be reviewed and handled by the officers.

o    Ranking will be working as such:

§  The Fallen (GM)

§  Founding Fathers: (Formers of DoD)

§  Guild Officers: (Pheinix, Belrex, Greatshovels)

§  Veterans (Our Loyal Raiders): Only a few can get this rank it will not be for everyone. If you quit before in the past you will have to remake your way there unfortunately since it erase all data collected from guild-o-matic for the ranking system.

§  Core Raiders: Our raiders that are in our Core group note that the core group composition might change weeks from weeks, but we will try to keep it as close as possible and constant.

§  Raiders (Those who aspire to become part of the Core Raiding team): Most of them will be invited to T11 Content to begin with where yes indeed we will evaluate your abilities and a gear check will be in par with it for FL T12 content.

§  Members: As soon as you join DoD you are a member of our community assuming you log in on a current basis at least 3-4 times a week. You need to have at least cleared 3 times full T11 Content with us in order to be considered to become a raid member. Helping the guild as well with gathering profession and helping the guild vault stay steady and clean will come in line as well.

§  Alt / Social: We won’t hide the fact that we have some amazing and lovely peoples. Not because they don’t raid that they don’t do their part for the guild. They are on the ‘’Social’’ part of the rank. We can use them time to times to fill spots either in T11 content and in some FL trash runs that we do. And again same rules apply for BoE. It’s always fun to hang out with peoples we like. The reason why they are not state as members is because some of them don’t want to aspire to become raiders. Some just want to do their dailies and couples of heroic and get things out of the way which we can understand so we won’t penalize them. If therefore they want to peruse further no one holds them. And of course alts character comes in line with that. You have 9 alts fine with us (minimum level 20). Just make sure to play them under a regular basis. Those who don’t play their alt for a duration of two weeks will be kicked so we can keep the roster as clean as possible.

§  M.I.A:  Those are the inactive members for more than 29 days. After 2 Months without logging you will be kicked unless very special reasons (Being sick or Death in the Family or such)

§  Make sure to keep the guild bank as clean as possible please. Tabs have been cleaned and arranged according the ranking you have. And help out in term of gathering profession please to keep the Guild Vault up to date. Because remember it’s your contribution that makes your raid viable and smoother. So think about it. And it also goes for leveling as well.

Dungeons & Raids

§  Raid Preparation/Add-Ons

o    The guild bank will HELP for some occasion if you couldn’t be able tog et your things ready (Even though there is no real reason since you have the whole week to prepare). But do not abuse of it. Come with at least your 4 flasks and your potions and food you need for EVERY day we will be pushing in the Firelands.

o    EVERY single Raid members or Core Raiders should know the basic of a fight. When I mean know, it means be familiar of the abilities of the boss’s. And get a clue of the positioning and what not. Under technical you will find some useful links to help your research in term of classes and Raid Encounters.

o    Add-Ons are MENDATORY for raiding:

§  Deadly Boss Mods

§  Omen Threat Meter

§  Healbot if you don’t feel comfortable healing with mouse over macros.

o    All others add-ons are on your own. Make sure to have a clean ui and not all cluster f***.

§  Firelands & Loot System

o    One of the biggest issues that we have to face is peoples that don’t show up. So to encourage peoples to show up we will try things a little bit different. We will implant the DKP/Loot Council system for our Core 10 Man raiding. This will become effective if you are on at raid time you will get +1 DKP point. Depending on how much time we spend in the raid it will be 1DKP / Hour in the raid (for a total of 3.5 DKP). A fresh new boss kill will be an extra +1 DKP and of course the 3 DKP for the boss itself in Firelands. NO DKP will be used for Tier 11 content. This only applies to T12 content.

o    Loot Council will be for T12 content for the Tokens that are dropping from Ragnaros and from Majordomo Staghelm. The reason for that matter will be to have a steady rotation between who can benefits more out of items to make the raid more smooth. Tanks and Healers have a priority in term of gearing.

o    As far as raiding and loot goes, you will be able to get a maximum of 1 item per night per main spec and 1 per night for off-spec (if it happens) depending on how the progression goes. And this is where the DKP starts kicking in. The DKP will be used to ‘’Buy’’ an item that drops from bosses - See below after the patch notes to see the items values based on a zero-sum – To give an equal chance on peoples to gear equally and again to smooth up the raid transition and progression. Tanks and Healers will NOT be a priority in that system. Per example if 2 healing piece drops it means that it can actually benefits at least 3 peoples or more. So to make sure we have peoples getting geared equally we will proceed that way. Peoples need to be aware of their best in shown items before hands for their class as far as Main spec and Offspec goes. There is various sites that provides those information as far as reforging goes. So I don’t want peoples to be “I’ll play around with it’’ because we both know it will remain in your bags for a good time before you actually start using it when someone could actually benefits from it.

o    BoE items from Firelands will be for main spec to begin with. If no ones can use it for main spec it will be stored in the GBank for a duration of 2 weeks which will be posted for auction during that time being. If it don’t sell within 2 weeks. It will be open for Core Raiders for their off spec. Those items will NOT be available for the time being for alts. This will hopefully encourage peoples showing up.

§  Bastion of Twilight, Blackwing Descent & Throne of the Four Winds

o    We will be on a regular basis running T11 content to gear our main alt character (this is up to you who you choose, just try to be honest toward everyone else and don’t think about being a loot whore, your not alone in a raid so be gentle). If some mains still need upgrade from T11 to make transition smoother in T12 they will have priority regarding if it’s a dps, a tank or a healer. Our objective is to push for T12 content. T11 content is a bonus. And again the loot system will still be the old style /roll feature.

o    All the raids form T11 contents are available to all alts as long as they are geared to begin with. We will not ‘’carry’’ peoples with an average item level of 350 and below and we will try as much as possible to not include pvp gear there to boost up your item level.

o    Raid included in alts runs: Bastion of Twilight, Blackwing Descent and even Throne of the Four Winds.

§  Baradin Hold & Tol Barad

o    We used to run it as a guild before, if we can and have it we will run it as a guild but for the time being it is NOT considered as a guild run. So feel free to pug it with whomever you want and get it out of the way and best of luck for your tier pieces or PvP you are aiming for!

§  Defender of a Shattered World Title

o    We will try as much as possible to get the last few peoples to get their titles as we go. It might be a long process in order to have the good make up and whatsoever so please be patient.

§  Rise of the Zandalari

o    All members should have their weekly cap of Valor points every single week. No excuses allowed to say ‘’I couldn’t do it’’ you have 7 days to get cap to only 980 valor. Which is roughly +/- 5 ZA/ZG runs or 14 regular Cataclysm Heroic. If you know you won’t be able to make it you can bring your main into our ‘’Alts Runs T11’’ to give yourself a heads up for the end of the week. Keep in mind that you can acquire at least 3/5 T12 and 3 or 4 off pieces items from valor to ease your healing, dps and whatsoever so don’t put it to waste.

o    Try to run them as a guild as most as possible please. Tanks, Healers step up don’t leave the dps hanging. If your main has an offs-spec tank and you know what you are doing by all means please go and help them out. Not only it will help yourself learning and practicing but also helps and benefits others in term of your game play and all the above. And please try to mix your groups, not always have the same peoples running all the times together, learn the play style of your guild mates, we don’t want to create any sort of distinguished click or whatsoever, we are a family, never forget who brought you that far. Don’t turn your back on them and have fun with everyone.

§  Raiding Schedule

o    We came to a conclusion in term of our raiding hours and time. Since school will be starting soon and whatsoever, we decided to do 2 nights of straight up raiding in the Firelands. You might say well it’s not a lot. Indeed it is not which is why I want you to bring you’re a game and be really familiar with fights. Watch video encounters before hand please. Read up on strats and make sure to come prepared. We will enforce Pre-Potting before a pull once the pull will start being initiated. Per example if you are a damage dealer class such as a caster, a Volcanic Potion that increase your intellect by 1200 for 25 secs. And than reuse another one on the last phase of the encounter, most likely when heroism will be prompt on the fight. So the schedule will go like this

§  Monday: Off-Night (Arenas, BG’s, Polishing your Valor cap for the week before the reset).

§  Tuesday: T11 Alt Raiding Night 1.

§  Wednesday: T11 Alt Raiding Night 2.

§  Thursday: Rated Battle Ground as a Guild or War-Games.

§  Friday: Firelands Progression Night 1.

§  Saturday: Firelands Progression Night 2.

§  Sunday: Gathering day (fishing, mining etc) And please contribute peoples. There is some amazing rewards we can unlock by getting those guild achievements.

Classes: General

§  Glyphs

o    In all time make sure to be running with at least 1-2 stack of Dust of Disappearance. And be ready to make modification on the fly when needed.

§  Raid Recovery

o    After a wipe, come back at the rally point. Make it fast. Buff up and than eat and use your consumables if needed. That way we will prevent those endless afk’s.

§  Knowledge

o    I will not insist on this point I think it’s obvious. You have a main. You should know this main like the back of your hand. At least your main spec. It’s really fun and amazing having a gazillion of alts but if you are confused and messed up and what not between all of them what’s the point? Learn your main character like nobody else’s business. Know your procs, read the tooltips, know what happens when you do this and that. And you can ALWAYS improve yourself. Now time to get to work!

Classes: Healers

§  Mana Management

o    We know some fights can be really rough in term of mana. Healers do not waste your mana on dps standing in crap. This is NOT your job. Priority is the Tank, than you, and than the raid. Assuming peoples don’t stand in the fire per say. Never forget that.

o    You will from now on if you weren’t doing it. Be pre-potting and bring an excessive amount of food and potions with you:

§  Spirit: Delicious Sagefish Tail: +90 Spirit, +90 Stamina.

§  Intellect: Severed Sagefish Head: +90 Intellect, +90 Stamina.

§  Haste: Basilisk Liverdog: +90 Haste, +90 Stamina.

§  Mastery: Lavascale Minestrone: +90 Mastery, +90 Stamina.

·       Intellect Flask: Flask of Draconic Mind: +300 Intellect for 1 hour.

·       Spirit Flask: Flask of Flowing Water: +300 Spirit for 1 hour.

·       Volcanic Potion: +1200 Intellect for 25 sec (Twice per fight).

·       Potion of Concentration: Restore 22000 Mana over 10 sec (Cannot cast spells in the mean time).

·       Mythical Mana Potion: Restore 10000 Mana on use. (Once per fight and put rest on CD)

§  Use your cooldown at your advantage. Try to stay calm and focus. The more focus and calm you are the best you’ll perform and you won’t spam your ‘’Oh Snap!’’ button. That drains a mana bar extremely fast. So think about it.

§  And do not forget that since 4.2, all healing critical strikes now heal for 2 times a normal heal (+100%), up from 1.5 times a normal heal (+50%).

Classes: Damage Dealing Classes (Casters & Melee)

§  Crowd Control

o    If you are assigned to an CC target stick to it until the end. If the tanks needs to break it or whatsoever he will call it out.  Keep always an eye out on your targets, put them on /focus if needed be.

o    Here is a list of what and whom those symbols come from and their purpose.

§  Skull: Kill First!

§  X: Kill Second!

§  Circle: Druid (Hibernate, Root).

§  Diamond: Warlock, Priests: Seduce, Banish, Enslave, Fear, Mind Control.

§  Moon: Mages: Polymorph.

§  Star: Rogues: Sap, Blind.

§  Square: Hunter: Trap.

§  Triangle: Shaman: Bind Elemental, Hex.

§  IN SOME CASES CC won’t be needed but they will be there to designate killing order on non cc’able creatures.

§  Food and Preparation

o    I won’t do a full listing but make sure to be raid prepared with your food for your spec and off spec (If we need to change things during an encounter

o    Pre-Pot at the beginning of the fight, and again those potions last for quite a bit.

o    It goes with flasks. You should at least have 3-4 flasks with you per day of raiding. So a total of 8 at most for Friday and Saturday.

§  Raid Awareness / Threat

o    Pre Pot 2 Sec before the pull during the countdown. Give 5 sec for the tank/tanks to hold threat and than after ward star opening and use your cd wisely during that period.

o    DO NOT STAND IN THE FIRE. Watch your raid, watch yourself, don’t become tunnel vision on DPS, because no one cares if you die in 2 sec because you couldn’t control yourself.

o    If you have threat after the first 20-30 sec into a boss fight, you should’ve been wise enough to use any threat reducing ability if your class allows it and do a little step backward. That will give time to your ability to actually have his full duration.

Classes: Tanks

§  Cool down Management

o    Mange your cooldown properly and do not pop them all right away out of the blue. Or you will die.

§  Raid Awareness

o    Watch the raid, watch your surrounding, watch your healers, your dps, your positioning that can be crucial in a fight

§  Raid Preparation

o    Again bring everything that favors you. Mix of Avoidance and Mitigation and Survability in each fights or encounter you will face.

§  Gear

o    Try to have more than just one steady set of either gear of trinkets. Some fight do not requires you to have an excessive amount of avoidance, some fight do. Some pulls are more AoE oriented not single target. Be aware of that.

o

PvP

§  Arenas

o    Stick to the schedule don’t do arenas when it’s about to be raid time. There is specific day for that we’ll only raid 2 nights per week. Rest of the week have 2 days off per say. So make good use of your time for arenas.

§  Battlegrounds / Rated Battlegrounds

o    We will restart doing RBG’. In order to start those we will ask each member that want to do them (Unless you’re in a team already) to have at least a minimum of 4k resilience to begin with. Easily obtainable via honor.

o    375 JP for 250 HP is the current conversion so if you want to do some RBG’s make sure to have at least 4k resilience and at least full Vicious Gladiator Season 10.

o    If you have full Season 9. It’s borderline but we can still manage to get away with it. But no Bloodthirsty.

§  War Games

o    Will be coming soon! Stay tuned!
